Our advocacy is grounded in direct engagement with policymakers and regulatory bodies. Our founder and CEO, Rudy Bermudez, has testified before the California State Board of Equalization, identifying inconsistencies in the practices and procedures used by county assessors throughout the state and presenting policy solutions designed to ensure the fair and consistent application of tax laws across California.

By combining policy expertise with practical government experience, we help clients navigate complex tax and regulatory challenges while advancing fair, transparent, and effective public policy.

Leadership

The firm is led by Founder and CEO Rudy Bermudez, a former member of the California State Assembly who represented the 56th Assembly District from 2002 to 2006. During his legislative tenure, he served as Chair of the California Assembly Committee on Revenue and Taxation, where he oversaw key legislation affecting California’s tax structure and fiscal policy. In that role, he authored and advanced legislation aimed at streamlining tax policy, aligning state tax law with federal provisions, and promoting sound accounting and fiscal practices that support businesses while protecting taxpayers.

Mr. Bermudez has also served as Vice Chair of the California Board of Accountancy, helping oversee professional standards and regulatory oversight for the accounting profession to ensure financial integrity and public protection. Prior to his service in the Legislature, he served on the Norwalk–La Mirada Board of Education and the Norwalk City Council, building a career in public service focused on fiscal responsibility, economic development, and effective government.

This combination of legislative leadership, regulatory oversight, and real-world government experience allows the firm to provide clients with informed, strategic advocacy when navigating complex tax and public policy challenges.
